Dr. Bharat Bhushan, MD (Internal Medicine), MMM (Carnegie Mellon) is CHIEF PHYSICIAN EXECUTIVE with 3 decades of global medical and business acumen. He is board certified healthcare leader who brings an unparallel level of clinical expertise combined with high-profile successes in organizational development and management, quality improvement and accreditation of health facilities.

He has management experience in India, UAE and the United States, with a specific talent for transforming from a volume-based to a value-based delivery system. He can optimize clinical and quality strategies, technology integration and company and market growth. He exhibited his entrepreneurial abilities by starting a small factory “Xavier Surgical Bandages and cotton gauge” in 1989 while in medical school. He obtained his MD in Internal medicine from Gandhi Medical College Bhopal in 1993 and was in charge of the intensive care unit (ICU) at Hajela Hospital, in Bhopal, India.

He moved to Fujairah in 1998 and served as their Administrator, helping the organization to achieve ISO1900:2000 re-certification accreditation. Due to his quality achievement and being the quality lead auditor, he was recruited by Welcare hospital, Dubai. Welcare Hospital was the first private hospital in Dubai to receive the prestigious Dubai Quality Appreciation Award and the ISO 9001:2000 certification. The hospital has also received the Joint Commission International Accreditation, which is the most widely accepted hospital accreditation award.

He moved to the United States in 2007. In 2011, Dr. Bhushan began working with the University of Pittsburg medical center (UMPC) serving as medical Director of the Hospitalist Program at various UPMC facilities. He completed his executive MBA (MMM) from Carnegie Mellon University in 2016. He is well-published and currently serving as the Lead Nocturnist with Sound Physicians at Covenant Health System, Lubbock, Texas.
